Decoding as a means of improving K.G.III students' reading achievement

It also investigates the methods of instruction and the problems teachers and students face in teaching-learning decoding in Lebanese private schools. Moreover, it examines the extent of development in students’ reading and reading comprehension. The subjects were 54 K.G.III students in a private school in Beirut who submitted to a series of reading comprehension tests. Hence, five post-tests were prepared to determine the students' level and to assess their progress. After data were collected and analyzed, the results proved that the majority of the students had difficulties in reading and reading comprehension. However, most of them improved test after another.
