Speaking proficiency is often defined as the quality of having great facility and competence and the advancement in knowledge and skill in speaking. Studies in language learning have tackled the issue of classroom interaction or students’ oral participation in class, but very few are the studies which have addressed and emphasized the necessity of outside-the-classroom interaction. Responding to the growing need to foster communicative abilities in English, many Lebanese schools have showed a great concern in developing their students’ speaking proficiency beyond the classroom environment. However, public schools are still witnessing shy approaches in this field. Practically speaking, getting students to respond to a foreign language in out-of-class contexts is a problem that most language teachers face
