From documentational system to professional development, passing through various indicators:Case of teaching Biology lecturers in the Lebanese University Faculty of Education

This research also studies the factors (gender, professional experience and teaching language) that affect the usage of digital resources by the lecturers. For this purpose, a questionnaire was devised to collect information concerning the factors influencing resource modifications, the usage of digital resources and the work environment of the lecturer. Then an interview was conducted with all the lecturers to study their organization of resources and documents, followed by a single class observation with one lecturer to investigate the implementation of digital resources in class. After analyzing all the collected data, some results were achieved. The professional development of the lecturer was affected by several factors: the usage of digital resources, collaborative work, students’ feedback and the technological development. The resources used by the lecturers are always submitted to modifications due to these factors. The gender, professional experience and teaching language of the lecturer had no influence on the use of digital resources by the lecturers participating in this study.
