" Living Values: An Educational Program" fosters the development of the whole--child through the implementation of twelve values within the curriculum and has shown--positive impact on students' behaviors and attitudes. This study examined the effect of--the program on certain behaviors and attitudes related to personal intelligences--(Intrapersonal & Interpersonal) in elementary school students in a private school in--Lebanon, namely The American Community School at Beirut (ACS). The sample was--four sections of second and third grade students at ACS elementary division. The--experimental group (grade two and three) students (n=38) followed the lessons from--three of the program's value units, namely: Peace, respect and love in addition to the--regular school curriculum. Control group (grade two and three) students (n=38)--continued with the school's curriculum without the additional value lessons. Both--groups were pretested prior to the implementation of the program and then post tested--using the following instruments: Harter's Perceived Competence Scales, Teachers'--Rating Scale and the BarOn BarOn Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i: YV (S)). A--series of pre-post 1- tests showed significant difference in Harter's Self Perception--Profile subscales (Scholastic, Cognitive and Social) in the experimental group's posttest--mean scores, significant differences in the Teacher's Rating Scale posttest measures in--favor of the experimental group and non significant differences in the EQ-i:YV (S)--subscales and total EQ post test mean scores. The results were discussed and explained--in terms of the effect of the Living Values Program on students' attitudes and behaviors--and recommendations for the future research were proposed.
