520 3 _aThe report is the product of an extension survey of the needs of sixteen under-served schools, mainly, in the Biqa’ area with the participation of a large number of teachers and staff from International college, Beirut. The survey included questionnaires to teachers and administrators, visits to all schools, interviews with key persons in each school, and classroom observations. In addition to survey results. The report includes profiles if each school and a set of detailed recommendations that covered the following: improving school premises, provision of furniture and equipment, provision of instructional materials, starting school libraries, preparing the schools for information technology, professional development for administrators teachers and other school staff, including fine and performing arts in the school schedule, supporting student learning beyond the classroom, and increasing parental involvement in children’s parental involvement in children’s learning.
