520 3 _aThis chapter falls in the framework of studies concerned with preschoolers and war, given that children in this age differ from young people, teenagers and adults alike in terms of exposure to threats, confrontation these threats and their coping mechanisms, or in terms of their feelings and perceptions amid facing danger, which are developmental characteristics at this age. Given that children at this stage (3-6 years) cannot express the difficulties they experience and lack sufficient verbal ability to translate them, parents are the primary source of information about them and probably the ones who “decide” whether emotional and/or behavioral symptoms exist or not. The results indicate emerging manifestations of separation anxiety.
