A Report of a Midterm Evaluation of the Scholarship Fund for Palestinian Refugees in Lebanon: Rewarding Academic Excellence

The program provides a numbers of students a full- tuition grant for a complete undergraduate course of study (for three to five years) at a university in Lebanon Chosen by the student. For an evaluation of the project, previous reports were reviewed, and meetings and interviews were held with the selection committee and senior staff of UNRWA, which administered the program. The report included observations and recommendation under the following headings: the selection process and committee, choice of university and field of study, gender distribution, administration of scholarships, public communication and visibility, employment prospects, alumni association and sustainability of the program.
