The study examines literacy in all its aspects pointing out to the different kinds of literacy, its elements and goals in addition to a discussion of what a balanced literacy program includes. It also highlights the significance of integration in a literacy program where guidelines are provided for teachers. The kit is designed for Kindergarten two students. The study aims to reveal how a literary curricula should include activities that foster communication, employ overt instruction, facilitate critical framing and give the students a chance to be creative in inventing their own activities and in building their own knowledge.
