The purpose of this study is to research and evaluate the effects of engaging Facebook grouping in teaching writing skills, particularly unity and coherence. A total of 40 Grade 8 intermediate students aged between thirteen and sixteen were engaged in a quasi-experiment. The experiment lasted for four months where the experimental group was invited to join a closed Facebook group created for this study. Descriptive and statistical analyses, particularly t-test, were done to analyze the data. The findings showed that the engagement of Facebook grouping in teaching writing had significant differences than the usual classroom instruction. The findings imply that Facebook grouping could enhance students to write and achieve more positive writing quality in terms of unity and coherence.
