Implementation of tourism education at Lebanese schools: a curriculum for elementary

Given the great dependence of the Lebanese economy on the tourism industry, the researcher interviewed stakeholders at the key decision-making level and at the local host-community level to measure how realistic such an undertaking might be. The researcher compared the educational system in Lebanon with that of other tourist destinations, such as the Caribbean, to further explore systems of tourism education implementation that might be feasible for the case of Lebanon. The researcher then made several suggestions as a preliminary step towards the implementation of tourism at the elementary and intermediate levels of schooling in Lebanon.
