Summary, etc. Nous voudrions souligner l'importance de ces jeux de société qui favorisent la formulation spontanée des premières notions mathématiques par l'enfant.Le livre a pour objet de proposer de nombreux jeux faciles à réaliser matériellement (système de quadrillage, échelle donnée, dessins simples). Pour chacun des jeux, on trouvera une démarche analogue : objectifs, règle du jeu, déroulement de la partie, notions mathématiques. La succession des jeux a été pensée afin d'établir une progression dans les difficultés permettant à l'enfant d'élargir son champ d'expérience.Un premier livre concernant les enfants de petite et moyenne section de l'école maternelle initie les enfants aux jeux de hasard ; ce deuxième livre propose non seulement des jeux de hasard aux règles plus complexes, mais aussi des jeux de stratégie qui mobilisent toutes les facultés intellectuelles de l'enfant.
