" Le transport est donc une activité qui consiste à porter en un autre lieu. Ainsi on transporte un colis, une marchandise, une personne, et cela demande un moyen de transport ( à la main, à l'aide d'un véhicule... ) Pour que ces déplacements soient effectifs, réseaux de communication et moyens de transport sont nécessairement adaptées les uns aux autres. On pourrait dire que le transport est un service qui utilise pleinement toute l'étendue des techniques.
