| Summary, etc. | The aim of this study was to examine the impact of ‘Leading for the Future’(LftF) Program in developing leadership for United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) school principals through adopting and implementing distributed leadership model at their schools across Lebanon. The study employed descriptive quantitative methodology to answer research questions. The sample contained 190 participants, divided as 114 teachers, 21 deputy school principals, 39 school principals, and 16 education specialists, out of 1567 people, and was selected using stratified random sampling technique. Data from the selected participants was collected using mixed mode questionnaire between February and March 2015, and analyzed them using SPSS software, version 21. The results revealed that LftF had a positive impact in developing leadership outcome practices and competencies for UNRWA school principals. It revealed statistically significant relationship among participants’ perceptions towards UNRWA school principals’ leadership outcome practices and participants’ position title yet with no statistical significance for academic qualification of participants. The researcher recommends the study of the impact of LftF in improving the quality of teaching and learning through the implementation of School Based Teacher Development (SBTD) Program as it is the intended optimal outcome of the LftF, and investigating accountability at UNRWA schools as well. |
