Summary, etc. The research focuses on promoting students’ writing proficiency through communicative writing activities, but findings are used for a new teaching context and with a new purpose since it is “Replication of Studies”. Concerning the research method, it is a quasi-experiment which proves to be valid and reliable for the research aim, sampling and setting, and its design identifies the independent and the dependent variables which are the usage of communicative activities and writing proficiency respectively. This research was equipped by both quantitative and qualitative data-collection tools. The main conclusions drawn from this research were that existing research failed to embrace sufficient evidence on how communicative activities enhanced students’ writing competences, and teachers should manipulate the lessons and prepare communicative activities to be implemented through real-life activities. This research argues that ESL teachers should be aware of the rationale behind introducing communicative writing activities and their benefits for students. In addition, ESL teachers and students should be aware of the importance of communicative writing activities in advancing students’ ability to develop expository, narrative, and argumentative essays and implement communicative writing activities to better the latter writing performance and promote their motivation.
